What’s your guilty pleasure website?
Priceline.com—I always check for deals on weekend getaways or trips out of the country. I also have a slight online shopping addiction but that has cooled down over the years.
If you could star in any musical, which would you choose?
The Wizard of Oz or Grease, both childhood favorites.
What’s the best city you’ve ever visited?
San Francisco of course! I decided to move here six years ago and I don’t see myself living anywhere else in California. Chicago would be my second pick.
What are you irrationally afraid of?
Eating fish with radiation from Fukushima. Call me paranoid if you will, I still love sushi.
What languages (besides English) do you speak?
I can understand Spanish, but I wouldn’t go as far as saying I speak it. I also know some Hawaiian.
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
Lavender and Rocky Road. Not together of course. Although that would be interesting to try.
What is your superhero name?
It would be Captain Planet. I don’t mess around when it comes to recycling and composting. My friends come to me when they are unsure of what goes where. Also, I am very passionate about the environment—we are all a part of this world and should live harmoniously with the ecosystem.
If you could be on Dancing with the Stars, who would you like to be partnered with?
John Travolta. In his early years of course.
What is the least glamorous job you’ve ever had?
I used to work in oral surgery. I’ll spare you the gory details, but I can’t say pulling people’s teeth out every day made me feel like I was on the red carpet.
As a five-year-old, what did you say you wanted to be when you grew up?
Veterinarian by day, (I grew up on a ranch with chickens, cows, and horses), and Pop Singer by night. Although I really embarrassed myself attempting karaoke in the Philippines this year so I don’t think I would have made it very far.
